Firearms Safety Training Course: is a course of instruction which includes only classroom instruction on the state of Maryland firearm laws, home firearms safety, handguns mechanisms and operation and a component that requires the Applicant to demonstrate the ability to safely fire the handgun.
Handgun Qualification License Applicant (effective October 1, 2013)
CCW Applicants — Minimum 16 hours of instruction by a MSP Qualified Handgun Instructor ($350)
Renewal Applicants — Minimum 8 hours of instruction by a MSP Qualified Handgun Instructor ($225)
Handgun Qualification License — Minimum 4 hours of instruction by a MSP Qualified Handgun Instructor and it including the following minimum curricula: ($175)
MD HQL
Maryland HQL which is required to purchase a Regulated Firearm in Maryland. $75 Application & Fingerprinting Fees are separate,
Maryland Wear Carry/C.C.W. Class
Passport Photos, Range Time, Ammo for Qualification, Ear & Eye Protection are purchased by Student, $125 Application & Fingerprinting Fees are separate.
